Corrosion: Acid Brick and Tile

Years of experience installing acid brick in petrochemical plants.

Thorpe has an extensive history installing various acid brick and tile systems, with and without underlying corrosion membranes. Typical materials include Type I and Type II fireclay brick, red shale acid brick, carbon brick, and tiles. These materials are used in conjunction with their appropriate chemical resistant mortars, normally over a corrosion resistant membrane. These systems are utilized in many different industries including Power, Chemical Processing, Pulp and Paper, Metals and Mining, Petroleum, etc.

In this unprecedented time, Thorpe wants to express its dedication to maintaining a safe and clean workplace for our employees, and consistent service for our customers.
